Installation Options:
Grid-tied
Electricity generation from the installed solar system can be used at the property, and additional surplus electricity can be supplied into the grid with permission of the Licensed Authority. In certain area’s, credits can be obtained for electricity “sold”.
– Electricity generation from the installed solar system can be used at the property, but any surplus electricity generated by the solar installation is prevented from being delivered back into the grid of the Licensed Authority.
– Hybrid inverters can be installed for the requirement to complement the solar generation system with power storage capability to overcome load shedding. This will be an optional extra.
Off-grid
The installed solar system generates electricity for use at the Premises and is not in any way integrated or connected to the national energy grid. With this option, it is a requirement to have on-site power storage in the form of batteries.
The solar PV system will be installed by Earth Care Solar Pty LTD on terms agreed with the Client. We will install the complete system from solar panels to the inverter and we will only use compliant products supported by local guarantees. Depending on the installation option, you will get solar produced energy that supplements your electricity demand during the day or allow you to be self-sufficient in terms of electrical supply to your Premises. Our PPA contract offers the Client savings on municipal or Eskom operating cost from day one and you only pay for the energy you use.
Our most viable and beneficial system will be the grid-tied option without storage capacity and which do not offer backup for load shedding power outages. The solar PV system will therefore only provide a percentage of the property’s electricity demand during daytime hours, hence the main purpose of the system is to reduce electricity expense.
